Dinner at China Town Restaurant
Today we went to downtown San Francisco. At the beginning we took the famous cable car across town and had a little bit time to go to the mall to go shopping. Most of us bought a lot of stuff, especially the girls. After the sopping tour, we rode our tour bus through the awesome city of San Francisco. We had a tour guide who told us about the nice architecture of the late 1800’s, with its Victorian houses and the modern buildings such as the Trans America Tower, the highest building in San Francisco. We learned about the history of this beautiful city and the influence of the gold rush, the gay movement and the hippy scene. After this tour we went to Chinatown to find some cheap shopping (because we guys are wondering why the girls credit cards are still working….). Ron, one of our awesome tour leaders, brought a few of us into a little side street and showed us the Golden Gate Fortune Cookie Factory where a family, mum, dad, grandma/pa and daughter are working together and produce the lucky cookies which everyone eats in a Chinese restaurant. During our little trip in Chinatown we could buy a lot of stuff cheaper than we expected. We had our dinner in a great and traditional Chinese Restaurant where everyone tried to eat with chopsticks. Our talent with the chopsticks from the perfect handling of our Asian exchange students to our beginners from other countries, brought the food to our mouths or the our feed. After the delicious dinner we went back to our hotel to enjoy the rest of our day in the whirlpool or in chillaxing in our rooms.
